<http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#label> "City-wide greening takes mainly less socially vulnerable residents out of pluvial flood risk in Logroño";
<https://w3id.org/sciencelive/o/terms/hasConclusionDescription> "Validated. In Logroño (Spain), converting all open space to green surfaces takes about 9 to 21 % of the residents at pluvial flood risk out of risk, and these are mainly the less socially vulnerable residents. In every one of 40 comparisons (3 climates, 7 return periods, 2 risk indices, one map missing) the residents taken out of risk are less vulnerable on average than those who remain at risk, significantly so in 26 and never the other way. The most vulnerable fifth of residents benefits least: of its residents at risk, typically under 2 % leave risk for the 25-year storm and rarer ones, against 12 to 30 % of the least vulnerable fifth. The pattern is not a clean gradient across all five groups: the fourth fifth benefits strongly for some rare storms. The finding matters for adaptation planning: greening placed without regard to vulnerability mainly protects those who need it least, which argues for targeting measures to where vulnerable residents are at risk.";
<https://w3id.org/sciencelive/o/terms/hasConfidenceLevel> <https://w3id.org/sciencelive/o/terms/Moderate>;
<https://w3id.org/sciencelive/o/terms/hasEvidenceDescription> "Residents taken out of risk by greening (either risk index): 5,376, 6,022 and 5,848 for the 2-, 5- and 10-year storms and 3,268 to 4,372 for the 25- to 200-year storms with present rainfall (9 to 21 % of the 25,658 to 37,376 residents at risk); similar under future rainfall. Share of each vulnerability fifth's at-risk residents taken out, present rainfall, least to most vulnerable: 2-year storm 26.6 / 25.0 / 23.2 / 19.0 / 2.5 %; 100-year storm 15.9 / 7.9 / 2.6 / 13.9 / 0.2 %; 200-year storm 16.2 / 9.2 / 6.6 / 26.9 / 1.0 %. The least vulnerable fifth's share exceeds the most vulnerable fifth's in 20 of 20 climate and return-period cases. Taken out of risk against remaining, mean vulnerability percentile: 0.21 to 0.36 against 0.37 to 0.43 over all 40 comparisons; e.g. 0.21 against 0.41 for mobility risk and the 100-year storm with present rainfall (one-sided permutation p = 0.0001, the smallest value 10,000 permutations can give). Less vulnerable in 40 of 40 comparisons, significantly (p < 0.05) in 26, significantly more vulnerable in none. Figure: figures/main_result.png; checks: results/claim_test.json.";
<https://w3id.org/sciencelive/o/terms/hasLimitationsDescription> "Social vulnerability comes from census-section rates, so all buildings of a section share one value, and it was not validated against impact data. The all-green scenario is REACHOUT's, modelled as infiltration in a fill-and-spill model without sewers, on 15-minute design storms; it is a bound, not a plan, and the planned measures are assessed in a separate chain. Many comparisons are made, so individual p-values are not adjusted; the finding rests on the direction holding in every comparison and the absence of any significant result the other way. The gradient across vulnerability groups is not monotonic: the fourth fifth benefits strongly for some rare storms. Residents are fixed at 2021; 157 buildings near the edge of the modelled area (1,851 residents) are left out; one map (25-year storm, 90th-percentile future rainfall) is an empty file.";
